hierarchy

does the trees have hierarchy? does the tall tree look at the shrub and go, 'hey, you're small' and then the shrub wishes to itself, 'if only i was as tall as the big tree'. is it ego?

it's not just humans, crocodiles have their mating rights. lots of animals who are strong or look better have the first mating rights. what makes us humans different? we are the same as animals. what are we so egoistic about?

human ego is a thing of beauty. so fragile, so easily broken. so not needed and yet so treasured.
